Now, with the exam season drawing to a close, students all over the UK (and indeed the world) will be looking to the next step, and for many this will include the quagmire of university applications and securing places.

Of course, there are many different league tables all showing different places for the university you are looking for. They are calculated and arranged according to different criteria, so (needless to say), league tables should be used only to give a general overview.
